Looking at existing poster adverts for albums

Here is a poster of Josh Groban that is advertising his new tour and his new album, we need to take note when we make ours that it has a small image of the front of his new album. It clearly states that the album is now available and clearly shows in large text the album name. The poster also includes a QR code which allows viewers to quickly access content related to Josh Groban.

Below this QR code is the artists' website, all information like this is shown clearly so that the viewer can quickly see everything that is important on the poster almost instantaneously. This, being the main idea of a poster advert, because when posters like this are shown, viewers are often on the go and do not have time to study a poster like this.

The poster shows Josh Groban clearly on the right. Although he is not in the centre, he is easily viewed. The artist name is shown in large font and is very bold. All of the text on the page is in white. This works well as it sticks out from the background

Below is an advert for Ed Sheeran's album '+'. It clearly shows the different ways that the album can be bought (through itunes, amazon, hmv etc). This appears to be a popular trait for advertisements for album digipacks. The artists' face is in the centre, this is good for the audience because it is visibly clear who the advertisement is for. We need to take this into account when making our poster advertisement.
